I'm up on all the pop trivia, says the guy with the stud in his
  tongue.
      Are you?
Yes. Do you know who he lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen is?
Let me guess, is he called Echo?
Good guess but no, anyway when they played Glastonbury it was so
muddy he had two roadies to hold up a binliner on each of his legs
so they wouldn't get covered in mud.
That's what being rich and famous is all about, having someone
else hold up your binliners on each leg when you're wandering across
  a sea of shite.
Do you know what Sammy Davis Junior said being black and famous
  in America meant?
      No.
He said being black and famous in America meant he could be
refused entry to exclusive clubs and restaurants that other people
could only ever dream of going to. Do you know Michael Stipe likes
to send his remote control toy cars onto stage while his support
band are playing to freak them out?
      Who's Michael Stipe?
You're not really a pop trivia person, are you, Kylah?
      No, I'm not, Stephen.

We are cock-a-hoop to announce version 5.25.6, the sixth development
release of version 25 of Perl 5.

You will soon be able to download Perl 5.25.6 from your favorite CPAN
mirror or find it at:

https://metacpan.org/release/ARC/perl-5.25.6/

SHA1 digests for this release are:

 454e10180450fdfc9a9c9c79b7ca3dc732a452fe perl-5.25.6.tar.gz
 3c1f8a707517c0ef62d1b4b4a23bc8c323808b58 perl-5.25.6.tar.bz2
 dfb8749a0f291acea635e07398a57e16e05eec34 perl-5.25.6.tar.xz

You can find a full list of changes in the file "perldelta.pod"
located in the "pod" directory inside the release and on the web at

https://metacpan.org/pod/release/ARC/perl-5.25.6/pod/perldelta.pod

Perl 5.25.6 represents approximately 4 weeks of development since Perl
5.25.5 and contains approximately 16,000 lines of changes across 300
files from 23 authors.

Excluding auto-generated files, documentation and release tools, there
were approximately 10,000 lines of changes to 190 .pm, .t, .c and .h
files.

Perl continues to flourish into its third decade thanks to a vibrant
community of users and developers. The following people are known to
have contributed the improvements that became Perl 5.25.6:

Aaron Crane, Andy Lester, Chris 'BinGOs' Williams, Dagfinn Ilmari
Mannsåker, Dan Collins, David Mitchell, François Perrad, Hugo van der
Sanden, James E Keenan, James Raspass, Jarkko Hietaniemi, Karl
Williamson, Lukas Mai, Nicolas R., Reini Urban, Sawyer X, Sergey
Aleynikov, Stevan Little, Steve Hay, Steven Humphrey, Thomas Sibley,
Tony Cook, Yves Orton.

The list above is almost certainly incomplete as it is automatically
generated from version control history. In particular, it does not
include the names of the (very much appreciated) contributors who
reported issues to the Perl bug tracker.

Many of the changes included in this version originated in the CPAN
modules included in Perl's core. We're grateful to the entire CPAN
community for helping Perl to flourish.

For a more complete list of all of Perl's historical contributors,
please see the F<AUTHORS> file in the Perl source distribution.

We expect to release version 5.25.7 on 20th November 2016. The next
major stable release of Perl 5, version 26.0, should appear in May
2017.
