If using rsync, please note that the address has changed; see

slightly more detail.
My apologies for the long wait since the last snapshot. I sincerely
hope and intend that they will come more regularly in the future.
The Changes file has grown by some 300K, so I'm not going to attach
the full list this time; here are some of the highlights:
- Dave Mitchell has cleaned up the pad handling code and has made
many improvements since;
- John Peacock has made further improvements to the version-handling
code, though discussion continues;
- Nicholas Clark gave us some big speed improvements at build-time
by changing the way the Encode tables are generated;
- Sean Burke rewrote 'perldoc' as a suite of modules;
- Gurusamy Sarathy added support for large files under Windows;
- H. Merijn Brand removed the deprecated '5005threads' model;
- a cast of hundreds submitted an array of configure, hint, code,
test and documentation improvements;
- and the usual array of bugfixes, including in particular many fixes
for UTF8 handling in regexes and elsewhere (thanks particularly
to RedHat :-);
- updated modules:
Attribute::Handlers, DB_File, Encode, Net::Ping, PodParser,
Scalar-List-Utils, Storable, Test, Time::HiRes.
Share and enjoy,
